MIF Expo – The Made in France Fair

We are currently attending the annual Made in France fair, meeting all those innovative men and women who work hard to create compelling alternatives in the realms of local, fair and organic production! 🌿

For the 3-day event, over 450 exhibitors gather together and show us their wares in a bid to definitively prove that yes, it is possible to produce and consume local goods in modern-day France! #MadeInFrance 🇫🇷

World CleanUp Day: 1 Month On ! ♻

Shoe Pyramid for Peace

Last weekend, Handicap International set up its 24th annual shoe pyramid display, which is designed to raise awareness around the dangers of using explosive weapons in inhabited zones.

As the organisation points out, 92% of bombing victims are civilians, even though they themselves are not responsible for armed conflict. The shoe pyramids are meant as a symbolic gesture to say “Stop!”, once and for all, to these lethal bombings in inhabited zones.

This year’s shoe pyramid also served as a reminder of those who lost their lives in the Rana Plaza sweatshop collapse in Bangladesh in 2013, in which 1100 people lost their lives.

With this, we feel it necessary to remind everyone that we are one planet, one people and, most importantly, we’re all in this together 🌿🌏☀️
